Yep, why didn't you use the old points trick? All you have to do is when you pay the ticket send in like $5 more and they won't accept the extra money. They will mail you a check for $5 and if you don't ever cash it you won't get any points on your license, because they won't do anything until all finances are final.

Why don't you stop acting like a little *****...... be a man and deal with the consequences of your actions!

I've had my share of speeding tickets, but when I took it to court and lost I had no choice but to deal with it.

Spend the time and $$$ and go to traffic school, that way the points are witheld and your insurance co. won't find out.

If you have gone to traffic school within the last 12 months then you are screwed and the first sentence applies to your situation.

Yes it works, I actually read it somewhere on these forums. Many people that responded in the thread said that they have done it and it does in fact work. I've never tried it though because we don't have a points system in Arkansas and I've never had a ticket.

I don't know why that stupid myth keeps being resurrected, but NO that does not work. Unless your state happens to be competely incompetant.

I'll see if I can find the thread.

Edit: Nevermind, it will take way too long to find that thread. I have no idea though, but quite a few people in the thread said they have tried it and it acutally worked. I don't have any reason to not believe them because their just everyday people like everyone else on here. It may work and it may not, but either way it's worth a shot..

Wow, 120+ in a 55 mph zone and you tried to fight it?

Good luck with school, otherwise points will appear and screwing occurs.

go to court plead no contest. when you do this you can take the driving class without it going towards your 5 times in your lifetime bs. also no points on your license ect...this works because I just did it with a red light/speeding ticket

Does FL let you take a class for driving way (30+) over the limit? I remember in TX you couldn't if you were going 25mph or more over.

As for the driving too fast comments, I was not aware we had such "Angels" on this site who never open their cars up over 100 on clear open roads.

Depending on your age they (Insurance Company) might drop your coverage all together, they will consider you a liability.
