Default Tampa Folks -- Looking for a Machine Shop

Just like the title says. I'm new to the area and I'm looking for a place to get some heads cleaned up and reassembled. I'm not very familiar with any shops in the area, so I'm looking for suggestions/experiences.

you can post something like Eisley's Machine shop in the tampa area. i dont have any contact info though. in fact, lol i might have misspelled their name.

we dont have any machine shops that are sponsors so it wont compete.

I like George at Southern Stlye Racing in Pinellas Park. The Motor going in My TA is there now. He has been there about 30 years.

I emailed Rev Xtreme but never heard back from them. I hate to call shops so far in advance, I'm picking the heads up this weekend, but I won't have the parts for assembly or money for labor for another month probably.

Eisele's kicks *** like Gator said....I have had many small blocks and big blocks built by them....family owned and great people! They are on Columbus Ave near Falkenburg Road.

Also Eddie Garlits does headwork in Tampa.....he does my buddies BIG motors (632) and never had a problem.

I guess you can ask to some of your friends I guess they can help you a little information about machine shop you are looking for. However, try to go and follow what are member says in their post. Or maybe try to search in some online site by using a google search I think you can find some little information about what you are looking for.

Does Precision still have a good reputation for engine machine work?

I heard they changed ownership, if I'm not mistaken.

Precision Motorsports has closed down and is no longer in business. What engine are you working with and where are you located? There are a couple good places to use locally, I prefer A&S Motorsports out in Riverview to do all my stuff but Eisele's Machine shop out in Tampa isn't too bad either.

I'm in New Port Richey. If I can't find a reasonably priced complete drop-out (LS1/LS2/LS3), I'll probably got the route of an LQ4 or LQ9.

If I end up with a higher mileage bottom end, I'll be looking for typical rotating assembly rebuild machine work, as well as head work (shaved, assembled, etc).

Give Gil at A&S Motorsports a call if end up needing any machine work, he will be your best option even though it is a little bit of a trek from where you are at.
