LS1 to LS6 springs
Hello everyone,
I have my mind set on replacing my pushrods. I am getting the 7.400'' ones for my STOCK LS1 block.
Here is my question..... are the LS6 valve springs a drop in replacement for my LS1 springs?? If so, should I buy anything else with them.
No, I am not upgrading to a different cam. Just replacing older GM parts with better parts.

They are a drop in replacement, but if your gonna go through the trouble of swapping your springs id reccomend going to something that will support a larger cam in case you decide to do one in the future, that way you dont do it twice
Also curious, whats making you want to swap your pushrods?

if he is replaceing stuff that doesnt really need to be replaced why not just get new retainers and locks? seem kind of pointless if your getting pushrods and springs but wont spend a few more dollars and get atleast some retainers......

Where can I get new retainers, seats, and locks?
I also don't think I have a bent valve. I think I may have a bent rod or two. Plus, I know the Chromoly rods are of a lot better quality. The car has 83K on it, and I feel a lot of power loss with the car. I feel that this will be my solution.

dana if you buy the springs from me they come with new retainers, locks and possibly seats i havent opened up the box yet but ill check tonight. ill give you brand new ls6 springs, retainers, locks, and as far as seats go the factory valve seals are a seal/seat combination. so if you wanted i can get you a discount on a new set or what not. but ill sell you new springs, retainers, and locks for 60 bucks.
ill let you know the price of the seats/valve seals.

All that for $60? I'll take it. Make sure everything comes with it. Help me install it, and you have yourself a free dinner (not a fast food one, but something nicer)
