Results are in.

Changes:

1. K&N filter removed

2. Swapped SLP lid to a 85 mm lid

3. Added JAAM air plate

4. Bottom snorkel holes I cut from the nose of the hood.

Slightly worse 60' foot times

MPH gain: 1.8
ET gain: 1.4

If 60' launches were identical, MPH gain would have been 1.5 and ET gain would be 2 MPH.

Congrats on the 11s, i'm so glad you were able to pull that off tonight, I left early at 8 after my second run it was just too damn busy, IMO they should put a cap on how many cars can go out there and race (but that'll never happen) anyways Congrats again and keep on going faster, hopefully soon I can start to catch up to you ;-)

Wsteun, I got 2 runs in ... two of the timeslips were from 12/22/2007. The other 2 timeslips were from last night ...making a comparison for the changes made to the ramair airflow. Whoever says the ram air effect is worthless or not worth the bother IMHO are dead wrong ... look at the timeslips.

slowmofo, I almost stopped came back to talk to you, but, I wasn't sure if that was you ... nice run for not doing a burnout and a VERY easy launch. Btw, I have the same wheels as you ... '02 WS6 17's.

SSrussman, Hey thanks Russ! Yeah, it was busy as could be last night. About the longest line I've seen yet there on a Friday night. And I hope you catch up as well, my friend. You will, but it's gonna' take some time ... gonna' start taking off weight now.

lol. I need to learn to read better. I just looked at the times and figured you had 4 runs. Those are some pretty impressive times.

Thanks fellows ... when I redlighted on the 1st run, I let off and got back into it, so, it was not a real good run ... on the 2nd run, I stalled to 2K and rolled into it too pretty easy, so, I was kicking myself for not rolling into the accelerator harder ... maybe I'll get it right next time and hit mid 11's ... hoping to, anyways.

Ok I did see you car, didn't get to see it run though..

The White T/A wasn't me, I didn't bring the car.. I was hanging with EFIJZB in his Black SS and a bunch of my Cobra friends, including Lou (02 pewter Z)

I did see that white T/A I think you are talking about and it was a 6 speed car it looked like and yes, he seemed to be driving the hell out of it..

I beat a black SS last night on my first run. It wasn't Russ, so, maybe it was him? He ran a 12.156 and was a really nice loking car ... not sure if that was him .... did he race his car?

If it's a black Cobra, it might be the guy who ran an 11.3 and beat me last month ... was a good race.

no this was a DSG Cobra, I think he may have been the first car out. Its his first time at the track since his whipple went on. Made 598 at the wheels, and he's learing how to drive all over again

Thanks Chris! Here are a few pics with the hood closed ... airtight seal between the hood and airbox ... no gap whatsoever, so, the air charge will be going directly into the bottom of the airbox ... K&N removed when I go to the track.
