Default Hurricanes Hanna and Gustav

All I can say is BRING IT ON!!! Its 2004 all over again. I really want Hanna to hit Saturday that way the final quarter mile race is rained out and Im crowned the quarter mile champion as well and then automatically the Track Champion as well.

Hope every one stays safe and power remains on. I survived the 04 season, I can get through this one too.

I'll take all the overtime I can get. Maybe something like 4-5 more Fay types and I should be good for this year.

^Line of work? Seems a few in here benefit from disasters, at least something good comes from it.

This is true...I guess a good disaster could get our economy moving again. The money comes out of insurance companies pockets..lol sad to say this though.

Actually the money comes from the premium payers, i.e. just about everybody. The insurance companies don't lose anything.

I hope they don't hit because I work at a hotel and no one wants to stay during storms. That means I just have to sit there and put buckeys under where the roof leaks. Not to mention we don't need any more flooding.

Hopefully they don't though B/C the mall is dead when it rains and being a Radio Shack associate isnt the most stimulating of jobs, and the boatyard is closed, so work sucks! If they do hit though, I want to see something, my hurricane hymen is still in tact.

The 5 day outlook looks kind of strange right now. I have a feeling it might rain.

hehe... I work for the City of St. Augustine in the pump stations department (that is - sewer pump stations). It's boasted as being the nations oldest city. It for sure has some of the oldest damn sewer and storm drain systems ever.. hehe.. And everytime we get a storm like that, all kind of things get backed up or screwed up and there's tons and tons of overtime to be had.

I'm waiting for my Hurricane Hyman to be popped as well. I love it when it rains down here.

^^^ hahaa.... Yeah, me too since Fay was only a tropical storm. Still haven't popped my cherry.

I lived in CA and experienced an earthquake and wild fires. I lived in HI and checked out a volcano and swam in 15-30 ft waves. I still need to see a hurricane, tsunami, and tornado to say I've done it all.
