Default Saw a S R T 4 today

Was behind this car this morning getting on the interstate. He took off pretty quick and there was to much traffic for me to catch up with him. How fast are these cars? If I saw him again and had the opportunity to race what can I expect?

With a few mods and a good driver, a roll race could put you in the losing lane. "Flame suit on!"

In stock trim (215hp) I've seen 13.9-14.2 1/4mi times.
Not bad considering that's as fast as the Mustang GT's.

Stock for stock, not an issue. But so many are modded and they can run low 12's pretty easily. They just sound and look like poo poo.

Yeah, a modded srt could surprise you. I've never raced one, but they have the potential to be quick little cars.

Had a modded one jump me at a light since he was behind my door and I didn't even see him. Would have been a fun race too since it was late and no other cars were around. It wasn't easy to run him down, but I got him up top and pulled ahead around 70ish. He tried to let out before I pulled past, but it was too late! :P

How are SRT-4s rice? What do some of you guys think "rice" is? Rice isn't any car that isn't domestic (dumdumdumdumdum is domestic anyway). It's those jackasses out there that throw a bodykit, huge exhaust, and big metal wing on a car and think it's the fastest thing on the road. THAT is a ricer.

I would love to have an dumdumdumdumdum. Quick little cars, decent gas mileage, and I like the way they look. Unfortunately, most have been hammered by unexperienced teenage drivers and finding one in good shape is near impossible.

Majority of them are slow BUT down here thanks to shops like Lujan there are LOTS of 400+ whp ones cruising the streets.

One night when i was on the way back from orlando going back to daytona on I4, a group of friends that i was cruising back to school with encountered one and he left us all like we where standing still.

Take note, we where not a slow group either we had two mr2's, a new STi with the boost cranked up, and a crazy volvo.

Left every car there standing still. Gotta love I4 at 3 30 AM and not a soul in sight.

I was looking to buy 1 for a daily driver, but could not find one that had not been beaten like a red headed step child.

We've been tuning these things for the last couple weeks, they are not bad little performers.

They certainly respond to tuning, they pick up gains like a damn 03 Cobra (+35 whp/+70 ft/lbs from just a tune).

Nemo at Rage-Tek has one that runs 10s at like 138 or some crazy number like that...

One of my boys got into it one night with a Skittle out west on 27...from about an 80 mph roll, he could not shake him...and he was making 615 rwhp in a C5....they CAN be fast...
