No Motivation in Jax
o yah. I am alot closer to completing the car than I was before.
I just lack the drive and motivation to go out and work on it.
The major thing that needs to be done, is find a new 99+ relay harness and dash harness to mate to my 2000 engine harness/pcm. I could have went all 98 but the tuning isn't the geratest on those. Your limited.
So, I am trying to figure out if a V6 harness will work, since those are plenty in the junk yard. But I can never get a straight answer.
So the wiring is the biggest issue holding me back.
Other than that, I need to bolt the starter, and hang the fuel tank, and run 1 fuel line. Also connect the drive shaft.
But anymore it just seems like I have no drive to complete it. I want it to run, but I don't want to work on it. Plus doing it all myself kinda suck. I mean is someone can come over at talk or drink some beers with me, that may help.
Any ideas?

Depending on how far you are from me (I'm in Arlington), I could come over and help you out. Heck maybe you could teach me a few things, especially since I plan on doing a V8 swap sometime down the road. Let me know..
Can't answer your question about the harness though, as I have absolutely no clue.

Yes, I know Doc could do it.
I am a cheap bastard though, and do everything myself (well as long as i know i can)
I plan on just yanking a harness out of another car to do it on the cheap.
So then I'll pretty much have a 98 body with all 2000 hardware.

how can the 3.8 harness work the coils they use are on a plate called an ignition module and the connector for the coils is nowhere near the same. even if you were to change the connector ls1 have two sets of coil connectors where as a 3.8 v6 car has one and a jumper harness that goes to crank sensor
