Im curious to see whats said. yes ive read may threads concering the lower gear ratios for turbo car. Im curious to see what fello rear mount guys are running and liking. I have a ford 9" in my car with a 3.90 right now. After some track runs..im noticing im going threw the traps..shift light blareing..and not picking up much MPH.

2.75 in my 9". I'm in 3rd for about 2 seconds and go through the traps with 20% converter slip on a 25.4" tall tire. Picked up some 28" tall tires so I can go through in 2nd gear with 4% converter slip.

I hope this works, I want my 9 sec pass.

Dang..thats a small gear! I also forgot to mention i am running a TH400 and a 28" tall tire. I just like the way my car leaves with the 3.90. On the transbrake im not really up on boost when i leave. That could be fixed with a converter im sure.

i have 3.73 gears with my STS kit.... main reason was I thought I was going to stay N/A but found a cheap kit and had already swapped gears. I get 17-18 around town, 27mpg on the highway and can nail it in 6th gear without having to shift down to 5th at highway speeds

I'm running a M6 with 4.10s on my STS. The previous owner had it setup like that, but he also had 3.42s to put in it.

I ran 4.10's at first with an STS and hated it, you barely use and of the boost because the running through the gears so fast. Try a 3.42 or a 3.73 and I bet you'll love it! You'll be in boost a LOT longer thus more acceleration.

Yea, thats what he said he had figured out after the fact of putting in the 4.10s. I'm about to sell the kit anyway to help finish putting in my 383.

I went with 3.23 gears after looking at and talking with Zombie. Great daily driver, puts alot of load on the turbo when getting on it

I'm running a 3.55 with a 285 35 18" nitto and ran a 10.77@141 last night and crossed the line at 6699rpm per hp tuners.
