Thumbs up Our EPP Front Mount Kit with foglights

I get a lot of people asking if they can retain their foglights. This Trans-Am is in our shop right now, and the customer wanted to keep his foglights so we made it happen for him. Bob

Are you going to be putting together a kit that will allow you to retain the fog lights? That would make alot of people happy.

All it requires are some brackets to mount the foglights, and trimming out the bumper so the lights can be brought forward. At this time we are not going to make it an option, but it is possible to do it. Bob

i wonder how much air the fog lights actually block from getting to the intercooler.Bob does your guys intercooler even go that much into where the foglights are?I know my intercooler was a little more narrow and u guys were able to keep my fog lights.By the way the car is running good.About time to put her away though

Chris, you can see in this pic the intercooler comes over about 2/3 of the fog light hole. Airflow is going to still get around the foglights, I doubt it will make a drastic difference.

I'm glad to see the car is running good for you. Have you been to the track at all? Bob

It's funny, most things do seem simple once you see them. This was just more time consuming than technical. Bob

Some nice sheetmetal dams from all 4 sides of the FMIC to that front hole would force all the air through the IC and you probably wouldn't even have to think about removing the foglights.

When I built a dam like that around mine (not an F-bod) straight to a hole in my front bumper, my IAT's dropped another 6-10 degrees with no impact to coolant temps. And my hole is smaller than what you have to work with there. Corky Bell says in his books that the frontal air opening to a dammed IC only need to be 1/4 the area of the front of the IC to be effective. I'll bet your opening is more like half. And the reverse tapered opening forces any air that goes into the hole to go through the IC.

Jim

That is going to depend on your current inlet air temps. If you can feel a good amount of heat when touching your intercoolers after making a run, then our front mount intercooler kit will indeed increase your horsepower. Just how much of an increase is going to depend on your combination, and I would only be guessing. Bob
