Thumbs up EPP's Project LT1 Formula in the 10's

You can check it out at the link below. Finally made it in the 10's with a 10.994 @ 121.49. With the exception of valve springs and rocker arms, this is on a stock engine. The oil pan or intake have never been off this, and full interior....the seats haven't been out...yet.

Over sixty passes on the car without an issue, a big thanks to the guys @ Procharger for making an awesome system.

Nicely done. I remember when we worked with Jeremy on his LT1 car. Stock motor with a 70mm unit and P.T.K kit ended up going 11.0's@130.XX. LT1's are no slouch....and definitely cheap to buy now. Of course the car only lasted just a handful of passes at that power level....lol

Thank you. Whats your pulley combo with that P1sc and RPM your shifting at?? You couldn't possibly be working that P1sc too hard with that stock bottom end LT1, lol.

GREAT RUNS again.

7.65/4.25 pulleys. Shift at 5600, doesn't make any power above that. It makes 8.5lbs of boost at 5600 but I run her through the traps @ 6600. The impeller speed is mid 48000 @ 6600 and making just a bit over 9lbs. It's ready for a D1SC upgrade. I am also going to toss in a 4.10 rear gear, curious to see how much it will kill the 1/8. Just planning for getting her to go a little faster.

You running the stock ATI hat/filter and Twin intercoolers?? IF so it might be a good thing you are on the ATI hat, you know this already but any more boost it could possibly let go.

With your pulley combo at 6600 I got 48,708 impeller speed, doesn't the P1SC have a Max impeller speed of around 62,000??? Wonder why you only pick up .5 pounds of boost from 5600 to 6600??? Makes me feel that possible the suckside of the blower is hindering it.

IF the bottom end could take it, do you think it could go mid 10's with a maxed out p1sc?

This is on the stock hat/filter and twin intercooler set up. I am running this on the edge just so it can be shown, that with the proper set up the LT1 can survive this amount of boost and repeatedly get down the track. This is after all our test car, at least that's what I tell the wife. If the fuel has been in the tank for more than 30 days, I change it and the plugs religiously. As far as the boost, or lack of, good question. These stock LT1s just don't rev(pass six) and when I am going thru the lights there isn't a lot of load on her....less load...not wanted to rev...probably holding the boost down.

The P1SC will, as with the new Z06's, support 600hp...so I'm sure it would support a 10.50 run. I'm pretty sure KP has been down there with a P1.

I am going to try Bob's drag radials next, see if the MPH comes up any from them. They hook good on his car so who knows....they are a little heavier though.

Well said. I wouldn't mind for my setup to run about as good as Kp's D1sc setup, time will tell.

Keep us posted. That D1SC should work well for you.

Nice times!! Whats your RWHP on that bad boy any #'s. I just tuned my car and it put down 438 RWHP I have a p600b on my car and only pushing 5lbs. The tech said I need more fuel, I have 42lb inj on the car now he said I should go 60lbs due to A/F going above 11.9 at 5,200 RPM. I still have stock fuel pump and regulator just have the boost pump from procharger. We kept shutting down above 5,200 due to lack of fuel. My pressure is approx 52lbs at WOT and dosen't drop, due you think I need bigger injectors?? Dosen't sound right to me. Want to see what the car will do above that RPM should be close to 450 RWHP Don't you think. This is all on a stock lt1 block some head work and a hotcam. Running same gears 4:30's Car ran 12.20's without procharger at 112MPH 1.8 60' Should be good for mid 11's now with my new spec clutch procharger and a decent 60'

I dynoed recently but was having problems with the eddie current. A couple of years ago it was 370ish and is probably around 385 now. That is on a Mustang loaded dyno. The 4000 converter and automatic brings it down quite a bit. You shouldn't be maxing those injectors yet. The stock fuel pumps.....well they just suck.... and I don't recommend going with a boost-a-pump. Get yourself a good pump set up before you do anything else.
