I personally think this build was done kind of odd...there was no need for alot of the parts they used and they spent twice as much as I would have to make the same power...

that's like one them Nelson's engines out of Cali.

he makes crazy power like that.

but what's the point, anything over 600 on the street is basically useless.

agree...they must not of ever driven a high hp car on the street with the right tires and good suspension. At 940 rwhp, I can hook my car from 50 mph and up on the street.

Impressive build and love the intake. Really doesn't make any power until about 7000rpm on engine dyno. Put it under a load and i expect you will see that power band move a little more to the left.

If you're car is not set-up properly and you have no clue how to drive a car with power, then 600 is too much for you. 600-RWHP is pathetic these days for the street or strip.

A friend of mine hooks just fine with his iron 422 + 300 shot and runs 50-180mph races.

I agree with SoCalSpd on the parts overkill thing. The best thing about this is that it shows us that GM is making the tall deck LSx blocks and I believe those heads are the ones talked about in the GEN IV internal section.
