Default Where to go from here.

Just like the topic said where do i go from here with building power. I have the traction and a RPM built stage 5 waiting on the stocker to bust so where should i be looking to pull more out of the old girl. The engine has around 95K on here now and other then the mods listed below is bone stock. I had planed on swamping out the LS1 manifold and TB to a FAST 90mm but now i am not so sure.

TTI 60 trim, 60lb injectors, snow meth kit, patriot springs, mild LSA 115.

You tell us, do you want to go 402+? You should be able to get decent boost with that setup on a larger-displacement motor that is forged. With those injectors, depending on what's feeding them, you'll be tapped at 600whp with 100% duty cycle. What kind of fuel setup do you have?

With enough pump and a boost referenced regulator you can easily make over 700 rwhp w/ 60 lb injectors!

You're right, if he can keep the fuel pressure up there.

Isn't it something like:
(Horsepower) * (Brake Specific Fuel Consumption)
(# of Injectors) * .80 (Duty Cycle)

I thought turbo cars BSFC were somewhere around .65, may be wrong...

And then:
Injector Size (lbs/hr) x 80% duty
.65 BSFC

So with 60lb injectors, he'll be right at 600bhp, now that's not to say he can't get more than that, that's not what I'm saying, but depending on AFR, etc will determine when he's out of fuel.

Right now i am trying to get as much as i can out of the little 60 trim and keep her close to stock cubes. Some day in the future i will go throw and rebuild and beef her up a bit but right now my goal is to break the 500 mark on pump gas while still keeping her on the mild side.

You should be able to easily do that then bud. Get a set of #317's with larger chambers to drop the comp down a bit, and run a hair more boost, I'd imagine you'd be able to break 500, maybe get close to 550 with that setup and still be reliable!

Well, install a set of stage 2 #317's, add a couple psi, and call it a day. Let it breathe! =)

Not sure what you've got as far as a cam, but I know with turbo applications, a cam can go a LOOONNNGGG ways! Something with a bit more duration, with very little overlap will get you there. Just look for something in the upper 220's, low 230's on a 114-116LSA. Will still spool like a madman, and will make a grip more power.

And you're only pushing 450-470rwhp?! You should be able to do that on somewhere around 7-8psi with your setup.

The TTI 60 trim only put down around 420hp 510torque on 10psi with only the 60lb injectors. Its a great kit if you hate lag but as you know its a very small turbo for the size of a LS1. I dont think i will pick up 80 horses from 2 more pounds of boost with the meth and the mildish cam and springs.

Maybe not, look at swapping turbos to make up for it. Working it's poor little *** off, and not very efficient then. A 76GTS will solve that.
