Default How can I get a fail safe MAP signal?

I have been talking with a friend who recently redid a bunch of his vaccum lines & he was able to make the map signal off the manifold a screw on connection, I want to do this for my car but I'm not sure if it can be done on an LSX. I have a FAST 3 bar sensor and I know the sensor end of the line would have to be a barbed fitting but I really want the manifold side to be screwed in if at all possable. Anyone have any suggestions?
