Default cross over length? is it important?

getting ready to start ona turbo project but because of whee i want the turbo and the packaging restraints the one side will be a lot longer then the other....is that a problem? also a particular length before lag becomes an issue? if so i will have to rethink where to put the turbo i guess.

When you see rear mount turbo cars running 9s I don't think you have anything to worry about if I understand your concern properly
Good luck.

the length of pipe is not important, keeping the heat in the pipes is.

i think having one side way longer then the other would have different exhuast pulses, plus maybe more backpressure on which ever head had more piping?

Im no expert in the field, but equal length would definatly be best.

Dont worry about it. Equal length tubes may benifit you if you were building an all out race car or something along those lines. Look at pics of 90% of the turbo cars out ther making more power than any one person needs. Most of them have the turbo mounted and run what ever pipe is need to get to the turbo.

once the pipe is pressurized...length
has no barring on performance.

so go on, go make some boost.

This car made 1284rwhp on low boost (PT101). I don't think crossover length is important.
