Default Screen or No Screen FMIC???

About to finish my FMIC project on my T/A and I am contemplating on running a Screen. How many of you guys just leave the FMIC open??
I was wondering about road debris, bugs, etc.

Also when I clean the car, how are do you guys clean the FMIC???

When I used to DD my Formula I was going down the highway at my normal pace when a car in front of me ran over a piece of what looked like a "shipping pallet" what came out from under it was a splintered mess and I swerved to get out of the way but still tagged a some of the debris.

When I got home and checked my front end, there was a foot long "spear" of wood stuck in my mesh grill that I have in my lic. plate cut out.....pretty sure that would have messed up my FMIC if the mesh grill wasn't there.

FWIW of course.

Been running this for 3 years and 45K miles, DD. No problems and great cooling.

GREAT news guys, I will probably just leave it open. No hiding whats under the hood, might as well not try to hide the intercooler either.

I was really debating that on above the valance on my 67 last night. Got my new intercooler and thought "damn that's big" and "damn, **** is gonna tear that thing a new one". Between the center of the valance and the turn signals is a LOT of open area close to the ground where debris and bugs (obviously) will go through. I think on my car, it'd look ghetto with a screen though.

Had the car both ways. The screen in my opinion looks better + provides real protection from rocks and small animals getting sucked into it
