Default ? about carb style intake

Has anyone else ever heard of this. That the carb style intake will help reduce the risk of burning up the # 7 cylinder. I have never once heard anyone say this until today.

So inspight of this new news, where is the best place to get this intake.

The carb intake will distribute the air more evenly, but as far as the #7 theory go's,unsure. I have heard about the theory, but when KP, and MightyMouse run 8's with the stock intake manifold, that kinda throws the theory out the window!

mightymouse runs BS3 and i think you have the ability to change the individual injector duty cycles, it would be interesting to know if he runs the #7 a little richer to prevent this with the ls6 intake . I've never heard this, just thought he might.
I looked into running this intake for the same reason, but i think the single plane intake will kill too much low end torque on a setup as "mild" as mine.

see I was thinking the same thing. BS3 does have a couple extra functions that are stock systems will not let us do. I do not want to switch to that either.

BS3 do's have that function, but once the intake is pressurized with air, it is going to get the air it need's?

Mike Brown and crew ran their LS6 manifold all the way to 8.30's @ around 170 mph, but finally switched to the carb manifold to keep up with the heads they had changed to.

you can also just put a injector that flows more or less were you want, with the stock PCM for the same results. I do that all the time.

I am learning all sorts of crazy stuff today...

Question about the injector thing though would that not possible make you have a miss at any other rpm range other then full throttle

I was just told this by ICON who is building my car that he wanted to switch from my ported L76 to the carb style. I think it's round $400 from SDPC. Another $100 for the elbow. But WOuld rather be safe than sorry as I've got about 25k in the set up so far.

I am sure MightyMouse has the same amount in his setup as well, and Kurt is the engine builder, and they chose the LS6 intake. I am using a LS2 on my new setup. I had the Vic jr. on my old setup, but I am sure the Factory intakes work just fine. I even think they did a test on the LS6 intake by turning it around backward's to see if it moved from the #7. No ill effects when it was turned around backwards.
