I realize true duals are the most optimal for big turbo setups. I may go to true duals at some point in the future maybe sooner rather than later but curious what is the most power you have got out of your front mount with ypipe and catback either with closed or open cutout in intermediate pipe.
Obviously two cutouts pre ypipe will be virtually same as true duals so not really interested in that right now.

More interested in guys running a more factory type of setup. I have no dyno data on my car till spring.

i have a magnaflow catback with the cutout in the intermediate pipe and went 9.59 @ 144 with 12psi at 4000 lbs. How much power are you talking about? I am not making that much at 12 psi like the others here

Thats plenty of power and plenty faster than I ever need to go with my car.
So really it don't seem like the ypipe is that big a restriction with even a cutout in the intermediate pipe.

I of course have the same setup right now just B and B catback and cutout in same location. I am not sure could fit the two cutouts like mine in the end of the downpipes and like my ground clearance and ability to run a driveshaft loop off the chassis brace location. I think a 2.5 inch dual would work but again if the intermediate and cutout don't lose that much power and lets me hit even high 9s or even 10s I am more than happy. So for mostly street guys the true duals seem not as important as maybe a track guy. But then again you can put cutouts at the downpipe or downpipes anyway so why go to the expense of true duals if you run cutouts.? I have heard they sound a bit better but again not a big deal to me. I like it quiet when I close the cutout. Its plenty loud enough with it open. And I have more power potential than I can likely ever want or use.

some exhaust still goes thru the catback so it keeps it not too loud even with the cutout open

When I had my twin setup, the connected to a 3in. y-pipe into a Magnaflow catback. I had made over 800rwhp like that.

actually my best pass thru the cutout was a 9.16 at 154 on a 1.51 the 8 sec pass was w/ my cutout open.. not that it made a heck of a lot of difference considering the short time.. if any

Mine is very similar. I have a 3" y-pipe that merges to a 4". The 4" goes along the driveshaft and over the axle. Then Y's into 3" dual outlets with a bullet muffler in each tailpipe.

Mine 5 inch exhaust runs right out the side of my bumper. This way I can get on the two step at stop lights and set other cars on fire.

my headers exit as 2.5" and merge at the turbo, from there is 3.5" through the cutout or into the stainless works catback which has a dual 3" out
