Default GT47-88 L92 first dyno results!!!!! Video added!!!!!

Well got it on the dyno today. We were just looking to baseline it and start to get the tune hammered out, it definitely exceeded my expectation for the first round of dyno time.
This was on 10 gallons of 93 oct. with 6 gallons of 118 mixed in for a little extra insurance.
Boost was steady at 13.8 psi, timing was set at 12*, TH400 with a not so turbo optimal 4000 rpm stall.
Big thanks to LCVette for turbo tuning expertise among other things, and the guys at National Speed that stayed a little longer to let us get a little tuning in.

Here is the best pull....

This thing has zero traction with the Pirelli P-zero 295-35-18 tires. Drag radials are needed before any kind of street pulls will happen.
We parked the truck and trailer a couple of miles from the dyno, as soon as it comes on ANY boost it is dancing.

Awesome Numbers for a baseline, or anything for that matter.

Impressive numbers but very non typical looking tq curve. Since the boost is holding steady, is the auto causing the tq to climb like that?

Killer job Juicy!! I can't wait to see what 18lbs of boost will do. You got Sam wanting to put 300-500HP worth of NX on the 582 to stay on top, LOL!! The 70" of snow is rapidly melting today @ 40* outside. It was a bitch trying to ride thru 3' of slop last night. The deep freeze will be here on Monday, so the hardpack will set in. Can't wait til spring to get my turd on the dyno for the NX runs. I don't think I'll match the 830HP, tho. Keep us posted!

Why the low MPH? Did you cut the run off early?

3.42's in the stock 10 bolt, for now! (tax return ought to cover the new rear).

Yeah I think it the converter was having a hard time keeping up.

5" DP, the hoses are Mr. Gasket stainless flexible hoses. I am still up in the air with them, but didn't have much of a choice.

These runs would flash up there in a second or 2, it comes on hard and fast. The TH400 and loose converter makes it real tough to dyno this thing.
There was a pile of rubber behind the rollers, these tires suck! I am sure that didn't help.

You probably would have tacked on some more power and mph without the slipping! How long did it take to spool up, 2-3 seconds?

Thanks for the thanks Chris!

we have alot of work left to do on the tune! we will schedule some time to really get it ironed out after we do some adjusting on the maps for some better resolution in the desired areas.

you definately need some better rubber under that thing.. and no it doesn't take 2-3 seconds to spool, this thing is lightening fast on spool I would have had a hard time believing it was a GT4788 if I hadn't seen it under the hood. boost seems about linear with the gas pedal, very impressive response. will be even better with some tires that can load the car a little more. from the passenger seat and stepping out of my manual car this one within a 30 minute window gave a very good comparison. Chris's car is a little more violent then mine with the loose converter.. mine you have a split second to anticipate the spool and feel the rush where as his goes fromidling along at cruise to 7k RPM and peak boost in no time flat.. very nice response indeed!

can't wait until we get you all drunked up on the E85 like me.. then we can really have some fun!

Chris

congratulations and looking forward to some more fun!

Man I was nervous wreck, and you helped me through it! Some drag radials will go a long way compared to those Pirellis. A final burnout sendoff may be in order for those turds!
We need to find out if anyone got any video or pics.
