Default cruise control question

new to the ls scene but just finishing up a turbo install on my 2000 camaro. the air cleaner and intercooler to manifold tube go through the area in the driver side fender where the cruise control is mounted. it would be so much easier to delete the cruise control box instead of relocating. does anyone know if the box only handles the cruise control function or does it interface with other aspects of engine/electronic management?

thanks in advance,
eddie

Deleting it will cause no issues as it only controls the cruise. I am actually about to reinstall mine since I miss it, well, sometimes.

i tweaked the bracket on the cruise to tuck under the frame rail alittle more. it still in the stock location. I fit a 4" charge pipe with the cruise control module in place

yeah, I built a simple bracket and rotated the unit almost 90 degrees. There is a clip holding the control cable to the frame about 10 inches from the box. You need to unclip it to give you some more slack if you want to move it . I don't have any photos

all i had done was take the bracket and set it on the work bench and tapped the bent part of the bracket straight. I then had rebolted it in place and now it tucks the Cruise module under the frame rail. doing this allows more room to run your pipes since the module is now placed under the rail and out of the way
