Default surge valve too loud

Just wondering if you guys knew a way to quiet down the ati surge valve. I have it vented to the atmosphere but it's just too loud. I did not know if you could put a filter on the end of it or reroute it to the back side of the car. Just give me some ideas. I know it sounds cool as hell as it is but just want it a little quieter.

depends on which one you have. Most you can just attach a hose and run it back into your intake tube and it will make almost completely quiet.

Dont really want to run it back into intake because everyone says the air intake temps will go up quite a bit. I did not know if you could just put a k&n on it and quiet it down.

581hp 596lbft with 11psi on a d1. Can you run it towards the back of the car to quiet it down so you don't hear it so much inside of the car.

I went to Home Depot and bought some nylon reinforced tubing, stuck one end on the surge valve and routed the other up in front of the radiator...that solved this issue for me on the GTO. That was my initial fix, however I needed the real estate that the ATI was taking for an air filter relocate project, so I have recently replaced the ATI valve with a Mondo which seems to handle the flow much better and is quieter than the ATI proflow.

You could put a muffler on it.

He is right, the GTO install came with a small K&N mounted in the driver fwd wheel well. at cruise the noise was very noticeable, driving on the interstate next to concrete barriers made it even louder.

with an 8" crank pulley and small blower pulley I was pushing alot of air out a relatively small discharge hole while cruising. honestly the larger opening on the Mondo took most of the harshness out of my system...

I plane on installing 2 Procharger BOV (the black ones) on my 01 ss.

I am running a d1-sc with twin intercoolers on the stock motor, with one black pro flow surge valve (vented outside with a small breather filter on it ,

when i install my forged LS6 and put 14-15 PSI in her , i am going intsall another surge valve on the side on the other intercooler. I think this will control any backed up boost and should be quite.

I was wondering if anybody has tryed this
