Default Ideal Procharger Exhaust

I want to re-do my entire exhaust...any suggestions? Car is lowered 1 inch and has to clear UMI tunnel mounted torque arm with saftey loop......don't want it too loud, but want it to flow well

Not too loud but wanting to flow well can be a tough call. My exhaust can be seen in the picture below, it flows decent but it isn't what I would call quiet. The Magnaflow cat back is a good all around exhaust system that flows well and should clear for you. Bob

my advice would be a dual 3 inch magnaflow... it is quieter that youd expect and flows like a drain pipe.... if you are really worried you coule go with cutouts.. but the sound isnt exactly refined

man, the going up part must have been fun but id hate to see/feel the trip down....thats usually the one that hurts...

free flowing and not loud isnt gonna leave ya too many options. you must sacrifice one for the other in most cases.

I don't need it quiet.... but it is way to loud for the street right now with no cats and one moroso spiral flow......at idle its fine.....but cruising around at 2k you need to almost shout to talk to passenger......not to mention from y-pipe back is not mandrel bent (main reason I want to change it)

if u already have a good set of 1 3/4" headers and dont plan on increasing the cubic inches i dont see the gains from the larger headers equalling the extra cost to upgrade

Get long tubes for sure. I'd suggest getting a high flow y-pipe such as the ARH or a modified one with a Flowmaster merge. I've got a custom y-pipe with a flowmater merge. Behind that look into a dynomax bullet in the I-pipe. They are 3" straight through but will help with the loudness. Then follow it all up with a Magnaflow muffler, not to loud and have a great sound.

Long tubes will indeed help. I'd probably stay with a 1-3/4 tube diameter unless you plan on more cubes down the road.

A lot of people have made good horsepower with the Magnaflow exhaust system, it would be the one I'd recommend. Bob

ready to start buying parts.....but I am on a limited budget....around a grand but can go slightly over

I was thinking about the texas speed 1 7/8" headers w/ ory and then some cat-back system.....maybe even a cut-out

oh and I am keeping the CME

any other advice? I really like the ARH but with the economy like it is, I'm not spending that much right now

Eldebrock LT 1 3/4 stepped to 1 7/8 to a race merge collector w 3 1/2 outlet, about $440, Y pipe is $100, add the Flowmaster 2 into 1 merge, and you got a nice setup, for cheap. If cheap wasn't a concern, I'd for sure go with the ARH. From what I have searched, I dont think you'll see much, if any difference between the Eldebrock, and the higher priced brands. JMO
