Default Truck manifolds and steering?

Doing my Turbo LS1 swap in my 94 camaro and just put my truck manifolds on facing forward and now my steering linkage from the colomn wont fit... I still have my 94 power steering rack on a tubular k-member. Do I need to go to LS1 rack??

Thanks

i havent ever heard of that problem before, can you loosen it and adjust it, i know could do that a little bit to my 99 TA.
if that doesnt work you might want to look at the motor mounts, some guys have shimmed them before.

Are we sure? B/c they look pretty much the same... Is the angle different of something? And do i need the linkage that goes from column to rack?

What is the problem exactly? My linkage was a pain in the *** to get to fit. What is it hitting on? I had to spread the fork open as far as I could get it by prying, shove it all the way up, and then it slipped over the rack with some force.

The problem is I have a 94 camaro with 94 rack and ls1 tubular k-member... I had the manifolds on facing rearward at first and everything fit perfect well I got enough money to do the turbo now so I went ahead and flipped them from side to side facing them forward and now the linkage from the column to the rack hits the manifold dead on. The main thing that hits is the rag joint. Any ideas?

yeah I have to do this alot at the shop I work at...we deal alot with turbo cars...get the flaming river double d steering shaft they sell one that you cut to length and it should give more clearance with the ujoint apposed to the rag joint.

I ran into this same problem because I tried using an older rack on my ls1 car. The angle is not the same and causes clearance problems. Switching to an ls1 rack will do the trick for you.
