Default Quick cam question

Hey guys, I have a question for ya, Im going to be buying a cam soon for my turbo build and I have a come across a place that will match the z06 ls6 cam except they said they could change the LSA if I wanted to. I would like a noticable idle since its mostly going to be a weekend/strip car. My question is would going with a 112lsa hurt the performance of the cam for a turbo or will it be fine? Heres what they said I could get: Specs are 204/218 .550/.550 and choice of LSA 112,114, 116. What do you guys think?

Thanks

make sure they don't do cheap regrinds on stock cams. There are issues about base circle size and surface hardness to be considered

Exactly. The cost difference between a new cam and a regrind is not that much. Considering the cost in parts and labor for doing a cam swap, it is worth the few extra dollars to get a new cam from someone you know exactly what you are getting.

It ultimately depends on what kind of power you're wanting to make and on what setup. Having a 112lsa cam isn't going to ruin your numbers at all, it will just take a few hp away. What is the setup, how much boost, etc etc etc etc? And what kind of power are you wanting to make? With that information, we can help you out with more specific answers.

Well for this summer Im going to be running a pretty much stock 5.3, with a cam and prc valve springs, mp70 turbo with turbo 400 trans with a 3000 or 3200 stall,I would like to run 10psi, but while Im running the 5.3 I have a 6.0 in the garage that Im going to be building for next year, and I plan on running a mp76 with more boost
