Default Differences between Yank PY3400e and Yank SC3000

Anyone know what is the difference between these two other than stall speed?
Asking here as want opinions from FI guys not NA guys. Thus didn't post on the trans forum.

I have seen both used on turbo builds like mine and seems they both work well. Comments and opinions on these two stalls are welcome.I am going 4l80e so notice not as much selection in the Yank line up and wanted to stay with Yank brand.

I emailed Yank but got no response ,guess should phone them directly but still like to hear from actual users of the product.

My car is pretty much pure street car.It will see the track likely rarely to get some timeslips for the wall. I do drive it hard off the track sometimes and main goals are keeping it as streetable as possible.

I don't think will be going past 1000rwhp ever with turbos and some spray and likely would run maybe 700 or so most of the time on the street with the extra power in reserve for rare occasions like duels with buddies...in Mexico of course!

when you talk to them they will say that the sc3000 is too tight and they py3400 is not rated for your power and to go with the sc3400

thats my bet anyways.

the py3400 is built for high horsepower and is a very tight converter. I had it on my car , its a great converter but I wouldn't recommend it for anybody not making at least 7-800 hp.

call them they'll recommend what you need. maybe an ss36 or 3800

I am targetting around 800rwhp with the 408 and the turbos and possibly up to 1000rwhp with direct port nitrous. The nitrous can go to 300hp not sure if its engine hp or rwhp though.

So wonder how the py3400 does with some spray on top of boost. And pretty sure the SS 3600 or SS 3800 is not good for my turbo build. SC 3400 is likely only other one to get from Yank. I am going to 4l80e trans so that also limits things a bit on converter choice.

But I have seen some 9s at 140s with turbos and py3400 so looks like its decent.
I guess mabye try calling Yank directly is better than emailing them.

the pro yank will be great for a car making 8-1000 hp, it'll hold it i assure you.

def better to call if you're serious cause they are out in the shop a lot.

Ok talked to Dave at yank. He asked of course all the relevant questions and said the py3400e is also the one for me. The SC3000 is guess more for things like roots type blowers that have more instant torque type of thing.

Anyway ordered one up and looking forward to it.

He mentioned you and think said he did some work on your current one making it more like a py? You don't have SC3000 anymore do you?

Well sure looks like your current converter is working great for you looking at your 60fts and mph and ets.

So guess still not sure what the real differences are between and sc 3400 and a py3400e. But have also seen some great times with the py3400e on various cars on here.

Guess have to rock it for awhile and see how it goes.
