Its easy to do but how deep are your pockets? If you plan on doing it for under $10,000 than forget it, hell $20,000 may not do it

i would reconsider your choice of block if you want to reach 1000whp. there is a big possibility of head lifting at those power levels with a 4 bolt per cylinder set up.

427 lsx should do the job but it is a Little pricey. but you have to pay if you wanna play.

The way I read his statement was 1000HP not RWHP. If this is the case, then this build would be fine with a 4 bolt 6.0l block setup. Any more than this, I would recommend A LSX Block or something else.
AFR Head,s, Trickflow,ETP head's, AllPro Heads, are all good choice's.
Probably between 16-18psi to make your power if you are looking for
1000HP(FWHP).

I have seen many builds in various places pushing 1000rwhp or even a few hundred more that seem to be doing just fine with 6.0 iron block and decent thick deck 4 bolt heads like afr ,etc. I would say you don't need to go to LSX blocks until around 1500rwhp.
