Default Car feels down on power... help

Well I went to the track yesterday and even though the car was running 9.0s and trapping 155mph. It felt like a slug from 6300rpms on. I dunno if I am getting valve float, don't have enough cam, am lifting the heads or what. The car looks like it is picking up RPM pretty quick but something isn't right. I am running the same ETs on 18psi that I was running on 14psi.

I dunno I am more than frustrated at this point. 3 outings going 9.0s and no matter what we change the car isn't going any faster. I am usually pretty easy going but this is beginning to tear away at me. The car is parked in my garage and not coming out for a week or so.

Anyways if you have any suggestions let me know.

I'm getting an AMS 1000 this week to control the boost a bit better also.

Definitely need to check/replace your valvespings. How many passes on them?

About 50 passes. I just looked at my logs from BS3 and for some odd reason i am between 6600 and 6900 RPMs for 3 seconds in 3rd gear. This is where the car feels like it is making no power! The rest of the RPM/gears feel great. It's just when I shift to 3rd the car will make no power. We are going to check the springs this week. It was fine the last time it was on the dyno, but I am thinking this is a new issue that just started.

How well is your altenator doing. If it is not charging to it's fullist than you may be losing voltage, and it will cause a lean spot? Just a thought. I had this problem with my old setup and had to get a new altenator and battery and then no more problems.

I would think you need more than that. Our cars require no less than 13.8volt's to run properly. It may not be your issue, but I would have it checked.

Either the fuel pressure is falling, or you have some valve float problems. Those turbos on that motor are good for another 500-700rwhp more then what those mph #'s are indicating.
