Boost a pump and fuel pump failure??

Boost a pump and fuel pump failure?? Has anyone had any problems with their fuel pump after putting a boost a pump on the car? I had one added to my FI setup and it worked for a few weeks. 1700 miles later I start noticing a small fluctuation in my fuel pressure gauge, I got on it and it and it dropped from 61 top 55 and as soon as the boost came on it dropped to 20, so I shut it down. I am having the fuel pump replaced now. Anyone else with this problem. Oh and the car is an 05 C6 with 53K miles.
