Default 3 1/2" versus 4" downpipe

I'm looking into some truck manifold setups and I can fit a 3 1/2" dp but can't do a 4" without swapping K members. I'm running a 408 w/S91. How big of a difference is the largers DP?

I'm hoping to sell my hotside and get a manifold kit. As good as the kit looks it's just too tight on my setup.

Would the smaller pipe also hold in more heat?

dunno....wrapped my headers which got rid of at least 50% underhood heat and it spools up my 88 fine. Since i have the old heavy garrett 88mm wheel....your 91mm prolly spool as fast or faster
