The D1 will make more power, has proven itself for years, and it is less/easier to install. Plus instant power all the time, no lag. The sts kit seems to have a lot of bugs to work out when you do an install from what I have read.

I'm happy with my d1, if you go with the procharger upgrade to the 8 rib when you order the kit. Good luck keeping it at 8#'s I'll bet after a week you'll want 12

Turbo... any day. I will always take a turbo over an S/C. Maybe its personal pref. And you can make a Rear-mount do alot of things too... Dont think a D1 can push you into the 700RWHP range can it? (I am really not sure) but a 70mm turbo can.

You're joking with this poll right? ProCharger, no question about it.

+1 Not even a question. The procharger has it all on the STS. If the turbo was an APS system, it might be a fair fight. lol

try a search... theres more than a couple people on here running over 700rwhp with them. the procharger is no doubt the better choice imo. do it right the first time and have fun

This is just going into a pointless turbo/sc bashing contest. Both have their pros and cons. I would read the sticky bc it explains it very well. Hopefully people can chime in about the goods and bads of their systems

+1 people just have their preferences is all. S/C is on a belt, turbo has lag for however many secs, you should edit and have people tell what they like and if they had both why they chose one over the other. I would say turbo cause when they are done right they are just swweeeeeeet lol. I am current in the process of getting one, cause i think it has more under the curve power instead of going with the RPMs but I will see what I like. Oh and not to mention, it was said in a post that most of everything is turning to turbos for poweradders and there are car (sorry I should say imports) that run on these all day everyday. So does that say something about reliability?

I didn't vote because it all depends on what your goals are. Two people's build threads I'd recommend checking out (after you've read the FI Stickies) are KP (Procharged TA) and Longrange4u (STS SS), both of these guys have a lot of experience with their kits. Good luck choosing which setup to go with...

I would have voted turbo if it wasn't an STS kit as an option. A D1 is pretty much equal to a 76mm. You can get 750-800 rwhp depending on the dyno.
