To run an intake tube off the turbo or to just clamp on a filter?

Default To run an intake tube off the turbo or to just clamp on a filter?

I am slowly putting together parts for my twin kit. I plan on running the turbos just like ls1speed does, one right in front of each head. I was just curious to weather it is best to just install a filter on each turbo so it gets the best flow, or weather it would benefit from an intake tube routed away from the engine heat kind of like an aps kit. I know that the intercooler will cool the air alot, but like stated above wasnt sure weather id benefit from this or just choke the turbo. The turbos by the way are (2) 1.06 AR 35rs.

Thanks for your reply. and yea i deff would make it big enough to not hurt the turbo. Just not sure how i would run them if they sat in front of each head. If anyone has any pictures of any like this that would be great
