My Procharged 451 LSX build
Alright, i have a built motor on the way and all includes: LSX 451cu.in. motor with callies stuff, trick flow 235 heads, roller rockers, custom cam and the list goes on and on. My main concern is the D1 head unit. Does anyone know if the D1 is going to "hang" with the big motor? I am wondering how much boost will i be able to get out of it? I am also considering the F1C. I know one day i will upgrade to it but the engine is killing my wallet. Does anyone have any idea of what kind of boost i can get out of the D1 on the 451? The cam is 631" lift and 114 lsa. I also am concerned with IAT of the F1. I will be driving it on the street in lower AL. also. Also i have the dual intercoolers on the T/A; will that work with the F1C?

I was reading somewhere on here the other day either the P1 or D1 pretty much maxes out at 10-12 psi. Idk...I don't have one so Idk. I've heard the F1-r is good for the upper end, and the F1-c is better down low, but is still just as good if not better than the F1-r

I really think I want to stick with what I already have. The f1c should fit without any mods right? If I can make 10 lbs with the d1 I think I will stay with it for now.

Yea, but is the F1R and the F2 going to fit under the hood and be ok to drive around town and still be able to keep all the same brackets? I also still have the a/c and def. don't want to see that go. lol

You can do a manifold kit and still keep the A/C. You will need the same stuff for your supercharger setup as you would need for the turbo setup (injectors, fuel pumps, etc). Your biggest gain will be HP and torque. When driving a turbo car around town, it is just like driving a heads and cam car, until you hit the gas!

There is no way a turbo car is simpler or easier than a supercharged car. Why are yall trying to make him change his entire setup? It would be a 30 minute swap for him to do an F1C from his D1 because everything he has now will bolt right up. Turbo would be a huge investment which he obviously does not have in his budget right now according to everything he has said

i believe that an f1 will bolt right up. i think the clearance between the headunit and radiator is pretty tight so im not sure if youll be able to keep a/c. epp has a nice fmic kit that you might want to look into. whatever blower you decide on, the car will be fast as ****
