Default new to forced induction and starting on a summer project.

so ive spent entirely too much time in the forced induction section and decided my car has been the same entirely too long so im starting on a summer project of a single turbo truck manifold setup.

heres the budget minded build i had planned, let me know what you think

motor:
stock shortblock LS1
stock 317 heads with mls gaskets and patriot dual springs and arp studs
LS6 cam
edelbrock single plane with elbow and 90mm TB
i plan on using the stock radiator and cutting the support to stand it up, is it possible to use the stock fans as well

turbo setup:
truck manifolds
2.5" crossover
76mm turbo (looking at TC76, PT76gts, or GT42)
3" to A2A intercooler and tb
tial 50mm BOV and 44mm wastegate
3" dp (stock k) or 3.5" dump

fuel:
dual intank walbro
60# injectors

since this is a budget build i will be looking for most of this stuff used

power goal 550-575 rwhp on 93 octane

hows that sounds for a setup and are my power goals attainable?

there are a couple things i would really like some input on, primarily turbo selection. also can i get to my power level with an ls6 intake and ported tb cause that would save me a ton of $$$. is there anything interesting i need to do with my pcv system or anything else, and can some shed some light on the system that activates the second pump on boost.

i know these may be some newb questions but this is my first adventure in FI

should be a fun summer

thanks

Make sure you have tons of time and money! Mine took about 5 mo. If I were to do it again I wouldn't.

Money is more important then time

My build took about 3 mo's, only working on it 1 day or so on the weekend.

Using stock fans with a stand up griffin and front mount turbo is doable, just depends how you do it.

You can put turbo where battery is, relocate battery to rear, and radiator setup will be fine. Most just put the turbo infront of the motor, and if you do that, then i would go to a pusher fan, and the griffin.

I have tons of pics of my build.

Good luck, Chris
