Our limit is not the MAF. It is the hard limit of 512 g/sec in the operating system.

Our computers (98-02 Fbodies) max out the table at 512 g/sec or 67.7 lb/min. Beyond that it relies solely on the PE table for additional fueling. Our MAFs could go much further before maxing out. After that, you have to manipulate the PE table (very high values) to get it to the proper A/F, or go speed density (the preferred method).

wow good info slow 67 i didnt know that , thats why i am not a tuner, so i would have been wasting my $$$ on one of those DBX digital MAF sensors?

ok how about the stock mass air sensor VS a SLP or ZO6 85mm MAF sensor, my car ran like **** with the procharger and the 85mm SLP, the idle would surge, stumble , search at times , and hesitated of the throttle , hard to roll out the clutch, the stock mass air helped a little but not a 100%

if you have a large enough sensor tube, you can manipulate the maf tables to read alot of airflow. Also these digital meters are programmable giving them some good advantages. As an example, a 3" meter reads 512g/sec, put that same meter in a 4" tube (this is the reason for using a northstar maf in a alum 4" pipe) and it can read much higher, but still report the same airflow, you just have to scale the maf table accordingly.
