Default How much octane do I need at 'high boost'?

Here's my setup. 408 9.3:1 CR, s91 turbo, BS3, 4l80e tranny, yank sc3400, 3.50 gear. I plan to run a 7 or 8lb spring for the street and then have a 12 and
18ish lb tune for the track. I decided to ditch the meth kit and just run race gas at the track. I was just checking prices and this stuff is expensive. How do I know what octane to run? I plan to run 93 on the street and then go 50/50 at the track. Thanks for any input.

I'd guess that ultimately it's going to depend on timing to determine exactly how much octane you need at that boost level to get the absolute most power out of it. Then another factor would be if you're planning on running your o2's (option to run C16 or other leaded fuels). At our local track, the highest unleaded you can get is 104 I believe, that may be enough. That BS3 is pretty versatile, spend some time on a dyno and see what it takes and how it reacts.

my ride is tuned to 700 rwhp 17 deg timing on 10 lbs of boost with 91 octane. I add 32 oz's torco to ten gallons gas to get about 101 octane and turn the boost up to 15 lbs with no worries. I was gonna next try the 32 oz can to only 5 gallons gas for about 108 octane and turn it up to 18 lbs of boost all with the same tune and it should be safe. I wouldn't do it if it wasn't.

remember if you mix diff octanes it doesn't level out like you would think. So becareful.

For example if you mix 2 gal. of 93 and 2 gal. of 110 it doesn't become 101.5 octane. It will only move it up 2 or 3.

If any knows the formula please post.
