Default Procharger tensioner system

SDCE is offering a group buy till the end of may on their LS1 tensioner bracket system. Thought I'd give a heads up.

I didn't think they were a sponser. Where is this advertised? Just through their site? The last time I visited their site, the "shop" part of it was down and they said it was being redone.

Please let me know, I am interested.

I found the news archive on their site for the group purchase. I will most likely be in for 1. Pretty good deal for the attention the SDCE setup gets. My only issue is the down time for sending the J bracket to them.

Buy a new j bracket and send that one to SDCE. Thats what I did. Then I sold my j bracket.

SDCE will send you a steel one and you pay a core charge. I think it was around $90. Little added weight, but more rigid.

I may be interested. I got mine to stop slipping though, crazy the difference that the NAPA belt made over the Gatorback and a good initial tension.

not cheaper, you have to send your aluminum bracket in as a core. appears to be the same. I bought it because I didn't want to wait to send my bracket to be modified.

I sent an email yesterday and Wendy promptly responded. The order will be in today. I received a PM and I guess I am number 9 or somewhere around there.

Hey ERO, long time man

You've been getting belt slip? Do you have the 8-rib or 6-rib kit?

I haven't had any with the 8-rib, keeping my fingers crossed

Hey, how is the progress on the nicer Procharged WS6 in Minnesota? I have seen some posts about a new short block as well as others but haven't seen much.

I haven't been getting any belt slippage. I had a bearing go out in the idler last year and replaced that. I figure with the special going on, I might as well jump on the SDCE bandwagon and eliminate future problems. I have the 8-rib kit on my car as well.

Will shoot you a PM.

Most likely see you around at some of the events seeing that our car season has finally arrived up North here.

So all procharger dealers will have access to the tensioner if a replacement is needed? I have my doubts.
