turbo oil return

Default turbo oil return

anyone use the oil level switch hole on the side of the pan for a return?

cant, oil level is above the sender even while running. (this is why the sensor is there) turbo will never drain. has to be above the oil level "line". I ran mine into the front cover.

Mine is tapped into the pass side valve cover.... for my sts kit.

I know this isn't the best but it's better than the shitty cap they give you. I didn't feel like dropping the front k member and oil pan... Maybe one day.

my turbo is going to be lower than the front cover, but the oil will be under pressure so it should still flow ,correct?

it wont, you will need a pump to reurn your oil of you turbo is below the oil level line

Some type of scavenge pump to pump it back into the pan since it wont gravity drain.

looks like it might be cheaper to repipr the turbo,cheapest pump i've found is over $200.

I was planning on doing the same thing, I have a fitting that screws into the pan metric thread to 1/2" NTP. the fittings where not cheap and I have a spare if your going to go that rout shoot me a PM...

remember the pump will be one more thing to go bad, some guys don't have any trouble with them and several others have had nothing but.
