Default Guidance

I need suggestions on a replacement motor. I have a stock ls-6 motor that's gonna be replaced with my choice of motor, but i'm on a budget now. The motor will have a T-76mm front mount turbo installed at the final stages. I was looking at a forged short block 347 for 2500. However, one of my guys suggested a 364, but the money's funny and it will continue to be funny. Please advise.

just rebuild the ls6 . hone the bores, replace pistons and rods, keep the crank and balance the rotating assembly. keep the ls6 cam.
