Turbo guys, what clutch are you running?
I need to swap out my clutch while I'm in process of swapping motors. Curious what you turbo guys are running in your set up.
I have a Centerforce in my SS and the Cobra has a Spec clutch that makes a chattering noise when disengaged and it cost twice as much as my Centerforce. I was thinking of getting another Centerforce as I have never had issue on my cars with them, but plans are to push nearly 700rwhp which I have never done either.

ok.....heres my list...
broken and wouldnt buy again for a turbo car.
spec (oh crap)
spec ( maybe bad luck)
spec ( it better be free replacement)
spec ( I cant believe were doing this again, even free its not worth it)
centerforce (well it was only rated to 450)
textra
No problems, and abused since installed.
Mccleod TWIN.
I would use some of the other clutches on lower hp cars. Centerforces seem fine in the 400hp area. Spend the moooolaaah and get a mccleod twin. If you say its too much ($1500) then y didnt you listen when everyone said youll need a clutch when considering going turbo. If cost is the issue, get out, or get an auto.
th400 FTW.

I'd go with a twin disc setup for a street car. Usually if you get a single disc clutch to handle the power, the street manners go away in a hurry...IE chattering.

I ran multiple low 10s runs, ( best 10.04 ) made well over 700rwhp on my Textralia OZ700, and I'd say it drove like a standard clutch.
Pedal was light, and it took up the drive very smoothly. ANY smaller diameter clutch will tend to be grabbier to drive ( ie, a multiplate )
I only used the OZ700 for about 10,000 miles before upgrading as I upgraded my gearbox. It was only just fully bedded in around that time. Although I suspect a lot of that is down to my driving. Im not abusive with a clutch like some people seem to be.
You need to decide what the car is used fro and what driving manners it needs to have, If you intend getting stuck in a lot of traffic, daily...then you need to choose very carefully.

i was running 10's doing 5500 clutch dumps with a 125 shot of nitrous straight out of the hole with a centerforce DFX clutch with no issues, had around 30 passes and 4000 street miles on it when i changed my setup
