First choice is aluminum because you don't have to coat the insides to protect against rust - if you can even get the insides properly coated?
And it is lighter in weight.
Polish/buff it yourself. I bought one piece from an aircraft salvage yard - it buffed up pretty good.

If you do the ebay pipe make sure you get the CX racing aluminum pipe. It is way better quaility than the other cheap stuff. It is 2mm thick and welds up great. It comes polished with couplers a tbolt clamps.
