Default cam help!!!

What is the biggest cam you can run on a stock ls1? I have the d1sc with front mount intercooler. Car has 108,XXX miles, I plan on changing out the oil pump, timing chain, valve springs, and push rods.

well since your forced induction you need a cam to suit that procharger. You can give pat G a pm and he can spec you out a cam thats best for you setup. When your forced induction a big *** cam really is not what you want if you want to make good power.

check out thunderracing.com they have a couple of good cams for forced induction. or just search for good forced induction cams here on ls1tech im sure there are a ton of threads on here about forced induction cams.

Damn that is a big cam for a ls1. Im not really a cam expert but i would think you would need a lot more cubes for that cam.

I've tested several cams in my car with a 347/D1SC a few years back. MS3 cam 237/242 113lsa - Ran like ****. Nothing but top end. 224/228 114 cam - ran great. Had excellent midrange/top end. LS6, 98 & 01 ls1 cams - Best power under the curve. All of these cams made over 700rwhp and were within a few hp from each other. I would stick to a small 220ish cam and be done with it.

Or get EPP's Blower Cam. It has proven itself over and over again. It's the cam I am buying for my current forged 347 build.
