HOLSET HX-35 DIESEL TURBO. need help ASAP!
would a holset hx-35 turbo with a 18.5 cm (~1.30 a/r i think) exhaust housing spool good and make good power on a turbo setup on a stock t/a making 410rwhp n/a, M6. I need to know ASAP because I can get ahold of one from a buddy but someone else wants to buy it and is giving me first dibs if I let him know soon.
Thanks, John

Nope. The HX-35s come on 5.9l Cummins Turbo Diesel engines in the Dodge Rams. The rule for running diesel turbos on gas engines is divide the diesel's displacement by two and that is the size of the gas engine that it would work fine on. So, that 5.9l diesel turbo would work fine on a 3.0l engine.
Sorry bro.

the 18cm housing will help but you will be choking the engine, the hx35 has a small turbine...... and i believe even the 18cm housing uses the T3 footprint
I forget the exact number now but the HX/HY35 used on the dodge applications is around a 56-57mm compressor inducer....... the later he351 uses around a 60mm inducer
the HX35 is also prone to breaking shafts (mostly when using an HX40 compressor on a HX35 cartridge), although they sound great with the ported comp. housing
