Default p1sc @ 5 psi on stock tranny/tires/rear safe?

I was thinking of a p1sc procharger @ only 5psi for my a4 camaro. I was wondering since I have the 2.73 rear and will always be on either 245/45s or 275/40s street tires would the rear end have a chance in standing up to it with just a studded girdle (if that would even help it). I was wondering the same on the 4l60e too. Car has stock drivetrain.

Also at 5psi only the injectors need to be upgraded? , car is a 2002. Thanks in advance.

Nothing is safe. Your A4 is a little less harsh then the M6 cars are on rear ends as you know factory 10-bolts have gone out under even stock horses. Same thing can be said with your 4L60. And what good is that power if you cant get the power to the ground what good is it going to do you.

It should be safe......but anything can happen with boost

Injectors, fuel pump, and spark plugs (TR6) should be replaced

my stock trans didnt last long, I got a few good hard romps out of it and then it went. Im still on the stock rear end with the girdle but, I havent hooked it really hard yet. So I might need one in the near future. You should defenitley change your injectors. Get some 42lbers at the very minium. You should change your fuel pump as well.

I dont know about it being safe people have droped both factory 4L60s and 10-bolts with only a few hard passes. If you have some miles on them then you might want to think of upgrading.

Thanks for replies, I thought it would be the case to have to change both the rear and tranny. Cobra drivers have it too easy.

Out of everything, I think its pretty safe to say that the 4l60e is the weakest and will go out first. The 10-bolt will hold if you don't have a sticky tire. You'll defiantly want to do a fuel pump and injectors instead of using the FMU.

i just did a procharger install on my lt1 i went with the p1sc im going to run about 8lbs of boost i got rid of the fmu that came with it went with lucas 42lb injectors and a walboro 255 in tank pump tr6 plugs fmic and a vortech bypass valve the 4l60e is new with a edge racing 3600 converter and a B&M Super tranny cooler the BIG ONE the next mod will be the 373 gears with a girdle from what ive read sticky tires and the 10 bolts are a recipe for disaster im going to stick with street tires until i can afford a better rear end some people on here have high mileage vehicles running boost that are still running good i had my motor and tranny done before the procharger keep us updated on your build good luck O YEAH AND A GOOD TUNE IS A MUST
