Default New best for Ninetres!!!! 18psi baby!!!!!

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh yea. I went out to the WCHRA event at Famoso race way this weekend in Bakersfield and competed in an event for the first time!!!! I ran in the 10.5 Limited class. I was wayyy down on power for the class and wayyyy overweight lol. The class runs as fast as 8.60 @ 160mph. They limit turbo size to only 76mm How they imagine a 76mm car can compete with 550ci+ big block nitrous cars with -4 lines is beyond me!

Long story short ( long story will come later when I have more time to post lol). Best pass:

1.45 60'

6.10 1/8

9.49 @ 144.95

DA was dam near 4000 and temps were near 100*. My intake temps were over 145* but that is measured just before my meth nozzles. Poor ebay A2A intercooler lol.

PS-- I won my first elimination round with a 10.35 lolz!!!!!!!!! My opponent runs consistent 9.0s but he peddled the whole track spinning. I couldn't get my boost up on launch quick enough on the pro tree and left with ZERO boost. 1.98 60' lol and my turbo didn't wake up until 100+ feet out. The other car was AT LEAST 20 cars out on me but I ran him down and drove by him at 1000 feet. I still managed 142 mph some how!

Ummmmmm. Because the sensor was plumbed in on my intake pipe before I added meth to the car. I didn't feel like have a new intake pipe made up. Also, wouldn't the meth damage the system?

It will not damage it, and it will show the drop in iat so you can see what it is doing and tune the meth based on IAT'S.

Yeah the red malibu won the the final, and it was one clean car. I saw your car out there as well but didn't see you around. Congrats on your first time out, it's gonna be addicting .

Man, it was dam hot out there, about 110 deg, it was still 100+ deg at 8 pm.

I was hanging out with Bowmans team which took the win in the 275 DR class, good times!

I ran meth through mine daily for about a year then sold the car about 3 years ago. The meth was taken off the car but to my knowledge the sensor still works just fine. Of course I was shooting through a blower so most of the water/meth was probably disappated before the sensor even saw it.

Congrats. It's running right online with where I was for 18-19psi. The ST80 starts to choke out on the hotside around 20psi for me. Your DP flows a bit more though so you've got some room to play.

Huh? Its 76mm!!!!!!! They didn't measure and I'm 400lbs overwieght for the class. Plus my car was the slowest in the class. Who cars if it was a 106 if I'm a 1/2 second slower than the rest......right? I will run a legal turbo next year.

Wow....nicely done. 144 with that heavy of a car is some serious power. Glad that unit is working out. Let us know if you want to upgrade the hot side...we will get it taken care of.

Yep, best pass last fall was 9.4 at 148mph on 19psi. I didn't seem to pick anything up going to 20psi.

I've got a 402ci LS2 with AFR225s and a 3.5" DP. I've cleaned up the exhaust some more (dropped the corsa cutout and when to a borla XR1 dump before rear with cutout) but haven't had time to get to the track to see if stays the same on 20psi. Hopefully i'll get out before August though.
