Default LS1 vs. LS6 intake power gains with turbo 5.3?

I bought an '04 34K mile 5.3 engine to either do a MP70 or MP76 turbo with over winter in a project car. Have a Z06 cam already, and plan to run either 5.3, C6, or a combo of cast manifolds to plumb to the turbine housing. I have a '99 Fbody LS1 intake laying around and plan to use that. Ebay A2A intercooler, larger injectors, ported stock TB, UD pulley.

How much power do you think the LS1 intake would give up vs. installing an LS6? I plan to spin it to 6600-6800rpm.

Has anyone tested this? I'm hoping for around 600rwhp.

The plan is to put this in a 2600lb Mazda RX-7 with a powerglide or T56 and 3:08 IRS 8.8" rear end setup. Play around on the street car.

Thanks guys. This will be my first turbo V8. I did a number of Buick GN turbo V6 motors in the past.

Who cares if you give up a little power? You should be able to meet your goals, so why spend more money if you already have parts that can do what you want? It sounds like a great project.

I would like to know too. My set up runs pretty good, or did until I lost a ringland on #5, but I was running too much on 91octane (12lbs and 14degrees), but if while it is down I could add a LS6 intake to pick up another 20-30rwhp that would be great.

For what ever reason, even with my GT2-3 cam I dont make power above 6000rpms.
