aem truboost proplem
when my car was on the dyno the other day it would not go over 6psi, and the boost controller A is set at 12psi. i checked all the vacuum lines and they are all routed just like the manual says. fist i thought one of the vacuum lines for the Wastegate fell off or something (since the car is not going over 6 psi, and the wastegate has a 6psi spring) but the vacuum lines are good.
i am completely lost now, please help me out.

this might sound stupid but are you sure your running program A? When you turn the key on the tru boost will tell you which program your on. You also know that the numbers in the display are for duty cycle and not boost numbers? For example each set up is different but my duty cycle is at 83 for 8lbs boost.

when i turn the key on is shows A and then 00 until i actually start the car. once i start driving the boost will climb up to about to 5.85 and that is nowhere near enough on a 8.6:1 motor.
also i noticed that the boost solenoid is making a crinkling sound when the key is on and the motor is not started. is this normal ?
BTW i bought this boost controller brand new from speed inc, so i don't think it is defective.

and another thing that really frustrates is that it say to press both buttons to start programming and keep hitting them each time for 2 seconds to go on the next menu. the furthest i got is to the boost A setting after that it does not really work.
if i knew this would be so ******* complicated i would reconsider buying an aem controller.

sounds like you need to set your duty cyle, I would go the AEM website they have a forum and instructions and useful info on setting it up. It takes a while to understand how it works.

Duty cycle is a strange one, I started at 50 and checked my boost and kept adjusting up by 3 until I got the boost I was looking for. On my set up the duty cycle didn't change boost until like 60.

this boost controller is supposed to double the waste gate spring and if you have a 11.6lb spring and you already have the duty cycle set at 60 and only getting 12-13psi how the hell are you supposed to get 22 psi out of it ?

ok i think turning up A to 60 solved the problem, but i am not sure because my serpentine belt flew off at 8psi and i had to stop so my motor does not overheat.
