Should I swap TB in my 383 stroker build?
You probably come across a couple of my questions around during this build.
Taking my 01 ls1 and going 383 stroker with sts t67. ( I know the turbo is to small)..
But should I replace the stock ls1 throttle body that came on my 01?? What size etc. if recommended please.
Thanks

Can't hurt if it's within your budget. Anything that works on the stock manifold that flows better than what you have. Optimally, you'de want to go with the proven FAST manifold and throttle body combo.

Ported stock
Stay with your stock TB or go with a ported stock !Half of the aftermart TB's out there are off with there TPS settings. Jerremy farmato( FAST PROM)will tell you this too LOL. Half the cars he tuned have messed up TPS reading because they had aftermarket TB's installed on there rides before being tunned by him and had to reinstall there stock TB;s just to be tunned correctly

I suppose I need to qualify my response; I had assumed that you had already purchased your chosen turbo and were looking for ways to optimize what you already had. Anything that increases potential for airflow into an engine is a good thing from a performance perspective. No argument in that the guys are right that there are more cost effective parts. But FAST manifold and throttle body never hurt anyone's airflow or power production.

on turbo cars throttle body and manfold aren't that critical, the air is being rammed in there anyway.
as above spend the $$ on a more suitable turbo,
Probably something like a master Power MPT76 will suit your engine and budget.

mpt70 600+ around 600 to 800 dollars
Spool is fast on any of them i think the tc 76 is faster but wont hold as much power as the tc 78
The master power turbo 70 mm will make good power with good spool if your budget minded its a great turbo dont let the price fool you.
