Default Looking into superchargers for my setup?

Mods below, I was thinking of either changing the cam for a spec'd out one for a supercharger or keeping the 228r. Ls6 intake, injectors, and 4.10 gears will be going in over winter. I kinda wanna pickup a supercharger, but I'm not sure what numbers to expect from one and what supercharger people prefer?

Ease of install, best for power, all that fun stuff would be great to know, I could pickup a used vortec supercharger for around $3000 or is it better to look into something else? Any input would be appreciated. I figure a safe limit of what the ls1's hold is around 500rwhp or so, and the cranks are around 700rwhp. If I got a supercharger, am I playing with fire in what my power will be at and what a ls1 can hold? Thanks

500 rwhp is a good safe limit, many have more rwhp than this, but it is a realistic limit.
The crankshaft can handle a lot more than 700 rwhp. Bob

With a FI car I wouldn't go with a bigger gear. 3.23-3.73 is where you should stay IMO.

Vortec and Procharger are both good brands. Prochargers tend to be the latter though with all the options and upgrades available... at least for F-bodies. But either one of those setups will be more then enough to easily get 500rwhp.
