Default Turbo pro's advice highly needed

Ok, been doing a ton of searching and still doesnt give me a straight forward answer.

Here is my setup need a T-6 flange turbo to go with it, car will be mostly track driven and will spin to 72-7500rpm

347 ls1
diamond boosted pistons
callies rods
stock crank
all arp bolts

317 heads mildly ported (for now)
dual valve springs good to .650 lift
Virginia Speed turbo cam
Ls6 intake, 80mm tbody
arp headstuds

Dual walbros
-8n feed -6n return
high flow rails
80 or 90lb injectors

th400 RMVB/trans brake
PTC turbo converter
9" rear with either 3.25 or 3.50 gears

Front mount air to air
truck manifold
4 or 5" downpipe out front fender
Full suspension
10 point cage
race weight of 3300
Eboost2 controller
lingenfelter 2 step

Wanting to go at least 9.50s or faster, would like to go 8s later.

Looking at the gt-88, s400s, st80 ect.
Wanting to have full boost around 3-4k, Can somebody give me some ideas of a turbo I can use and maybe be able to expand with when I go a touch larger cubes. Car will run on race fuel most of the time but occasionally pump gas. Wanting to push from 15# to 20#.

Any help is much appreciated, sorry for the long post.

On a large frame turbo, I doubt that you will see FULL spool before 5K rpm on a 347.

My 346, s480 car with a spool valve makes 10 psi at 4000 rpm, and about 5000 rpm without it.

So would it be better to go with the 383 stroker for the t6 turbo or should I just stick with a t4 flange.

I kinda wanted to have room to grow bigger later thus why I wanted a t6 flange turbo.

If you want room to grow then do a t6 kit/turbo, but why do you need full boost at 4k? You stated its mostly track, put a good converter in there and enjoy a turbo and kit that could fit your goals now and later, minus the spool part.

I would stay away from a 383...if you want some displacement do one of the common combo's. 364/370/402/408.

Well, I have my stock block in great shape to work with so I didnt want to have to put in iron block and gain more weight. Unless there is a way to get a 364 or 370 out of an ls1 then I guess im just going to have to use a t4 flange.

I didnt want a 2000rpm range of full boost unless I can get my converter setup right. When the boost comes on I want it to hit hard and carry me down the track fast.

There are several aluminum blocks out there that have a larger bore factory. You can do a crank in your ls1 block but the benefit is that much better when you are starting with a larger bore. If the ls1 motor is still together maybe you could seel it off and use that to buy a newer style larger bore block?

There are still t6 turbo's out there that will spool in that area, but there is no point in it really for a track car.You said you would be shifting the thing at 7500 and wanting a turbo that spool's at 3000-4000, that is 3500-4500 rpm. Any good converter will drop only 900-1200 rpm on a shift.

If you want something that will work well when you go larger cubes, go t6. If you are going t6 and have an auto track car.....get a good converter and put the turbo on the car that will make the power level you want down the road. That is the way that makes the most sence to me anyways.

That makes alot of sence to me, thanks for clarifying it for me. There is a local guy that has a 6.2L block here brand new for $1000. Maybe I can jump on that.
