Default Several questions for the more experienced FI guys..

Ok I have an LS1 block, bored to 4.125, resleeved with Darton mid dry sleeves. I intend to build this engine for a twin turbo setup. I have a pair of 57 trim JDM turbos with stage 3 turbine housings. Are these going to be a good match for such a large dispacement?
Second, what heads are good for a 427 twin setup? I had originally planned to use these twins on my stock block with 317 heads(which i also already have).
I guess its safe to say that this 427 block is a change pretty late in the game.
I'd appreciate any constructive input or criticism.

I would toward some trick flows 225 for the heads. You can do 750 with 317 heads but with such a big bore id just go trick flows for tha added thickness in the deck and rocker bosses. As far as the turbos im not sure about those. Can u send more specs on them?

They seem alittle on the small side for a 427 how high do you plan on spinnig the motor? Im sure a turbo vendor will chime in. But I think twin 67 would work i will post size in a while i got class now lol!

Not sure about max RPM, probably stick to less than 6500 since it will be a street car also. I have a Garrett 60-1 also, and i saw another for sale on here, i was thinking about upgrading to twin 60-1s. Theyre much larger. 0.71 compressor and .96 turbine A/R.

..and seriously hoping so about the vendor.. I work at a nuclear power plant.. but reading these compressor maps seems like a special ed student looking at japanese.. except i stopped before the drooling started..

those turbos are def on the small side for a 427-i would think max rpm would be 5500 or so.the smallest we ever ran on a 427 was a pair of 59's due to packaging problems-they made over 800hp @ 6300rpm-not sure on the turbine size of the 60-1 but i would think they would be a better fit

Default ok, turbo problem solved...

but what about heads? someone mentioned TF225's, but also talked about 317's? could i have the 317's worked and still be ok? I don't mind getting better heads, but in the aspect of over all project cost, heads are major.

I've had my eye on either of the heads in this thread in the for sale section:
