Default Truck headers

I've seen exhaust manifolds used for turbo builds, but what about a set of shorty truck headers off the same year and model? Would this work? Has anyone tried it?

Why bother? Looks? The stock truck manifolds have gone well over 1000RWHP..

basically looks. Plus the factory manifolds are cast iron, and the headers are built out of steel. Seems they would be stronger. Does anyone have pictures of someone using truck headers for a front mount build?

Am I mis understanding you here. You think that the Shorty headers are gonna be stonger than the cast iron manifolds? Not even close.

the iron headers are better suited for turbo builds and are stronger.
however the steel headers can be modified unlike the truck manifolds.
u could use vband flanges on the headers, but have to use the triangle flanges on the manifolds.
summit has shorty truck headers for around 160$

the stainless headers will crack eventually.
cast iron will be allot tougher.

Just get the 6.0 manifolds jet hot coated they look great they even have a crome looking coating and it will also keep the engine bay cooler and help the turbo spool more efently.

I was going to end up having everything ceramic coated. We have a guy in my town who does it that I used to work for. He can get me a good deal

Is there a difference in the stock 6.2l manifolds and the 6.0l manifolds?
